Banshee

Irish folklore is nothing to be sniffed at, and the legend of the banshee is no different. This feminine name of Irish origin refers to the bean sí, a “fey woman” that was once the stuff of nightmares. The howl of a banshee was understood to signify that someone the hearer knew had died. Certainly unorthodox but undeniably badass, Banshee is the perfect name if your little one’s got a big pair of lungs. The phrase “screamed like a banshee” didn't come out of nowhere, anyways!
