Heimdall

Heimdall is a masculine name of Old Norse origin with the definition of “white god.” It is composed of the elements heimr, meaning “home,” and dallr, meaning “luminous” or “shining.” These combine together to mean “the one who lights the house,” sure to remind baby of how much light and warmth they radiate. In Norse mythology, Heimdall is a god who keeps watch for invaders, which can represent baby’s caring and attentive side. Heimdall is also believed to have somewhat of a sixth sense and foreknowledge that can help light the way for baby.
