by mrscharmainthis name just makes me smile
by candy4mandyIf we have a girl this is what we will be naming her
by Jennybenny5785It's a uni sex name and like ANY name, you can change the spelling and do what pleases you. After all, it is your kid. The Little Mermaid INSPIRED me to use this name for my little one. While it is personal preference, I love this name for a girl, spelled this way but as I said you can spell it any way. Bottom line, no matter what your kids name is, someone will have something to say, someone will jack it up when they try to pronounce it, someone will always have an opionion and hearing a certain name can make ppl think of different things or events.
by andreamiller2005Ariel Rose(:
by andabearI'd have to agree with everything vikkistar says... I named my son Ariel (roll the r) and I was questioned about my name choice because people think of it as a girl's name. Look at the meaning "Lion of God" not "Lioness of God". That, to me, says it all.
by jmorales122279Having said that, it pains me to hear this MASCULINE name on girls. The feminine form would be Arielle. This is on my list too for boys'.
by vikkistarLove it as a boys name. Really masculine. Unfortunately, The Little Mermaid ruined it though, and fashioned it to be more feminine.
by vikkistarI've always loved this name. I'm pregnant with my second baby who is going to be a girl. Now I get to use the name lol
by peachykeen19I love the name i think its nice and simple. I beleive its sooo suitable for a agirl.
by TruNI think its a beautiful name and the fact that it has biblical origin is lovely.
by HighlyFavored11It's great for it's Biblical connotations... not so great for worldly ones. If our first son had been a girl, the name would have been "Ariel Hosanna," but as he turned out to be a boy, he got the name "Ethan Paul." Baby #2 is a girl, so this name is back on the list of possibilities!
