We pronounce it "Riss".. we like it better that way. it just flows better with our kid's name
by MommyStreeterThis is a family name for us, but it is pronounced like sun RISE. We thought it was the most unique way to pronounce it, and in Texas is just makes more sense then Rees when you see the name! lol we ended up making it easier for some of our older family though so his name is Rhys-Benjamin so all of his great grandparents just call him Benjamin or Ben, but everyone else calls him Rhys pronounced like rise!
by SarahBear107I'm babies name is Rhys
by kmgardner2011@justjenbu... It is pronounced as "Reese." I love this name, and I'm considering it if we find out that we are having a boy.
by mgrace926We are having twin boys in less than two weeks and we are going to name one of them Rhys! I love the name and like this more masculine spelling. The verdict is still out on baby b!
by Overthemoon11I am considering this for a girl..I knew a Reesa when I was in highschool and loved her name, but now considering either spelling. Then I met a Rhys and thought it an odd spelling but it really worked for him, he was a fantastically unique person.
by MaggsygerlI love this name and spelling it is the name we are using for our son due in November we were spelling it reece and decided to change it last minute cause we like this spelling better, and they are pronounced the same.
by 4munchkinzHow do you pronounce this name?
by justjenbuI like Evan Rhys
by hallronniThis is the front-runner for our baby due in October. We like it for either a boy or a girl, although with this spelling it is considered a male name (which I am convinced I will be having).
by berxmommyMy husband and I discussed this name when we got married 3 years ago and right now it is the front runner for baby boy-due in June. It was also my father-in-law's nickname when growing up and neither one of us realized that. Now we just have to find something else to go with it.
