Capree

Inspired by the dazzling island of Capri in Italy, Capree is a name for both boys and girls. The vibrant coastline, blue sparkling waters, and glamorous villas of Capri can be found in the Gulf of Naples, west of Sorrento. This Mediterranean haven has played host to enchanted tourists of all ilks, and perhaps you and baby can join them. The origins of the name of this Italian isle are not entirely certain. It is thought to derive from the Greek term kápros. Meaning “wild boar,” the Greeks were the first to colonize Capri, and fossils of the animal have been found on the island. Alternatively, Capri could be traced back to the Latin word for “goat,” capra. The Romans are said to have called it Goat Island, so both roots are likely.
