Ikabod

Ikabod is a boy’s name meaning “the glory is gone.” In the Hebrew Bible, Ichabod, the son of Phinehas the priest, was named as such because his birth coincided with the capture of the Ark by the Philistines as well as a couple of deaths in the family. His mother insists the glory has departed from Israel, being more affected by the spiritual calamity than her own personal losses.
