Jordi

Jordi is a boy’s name with Spanish, Greek, and Hebrew origins. Most commonly derived from the Hebrew name Jordan which means “to go down” or “flowing down,” this name will no doubt remind many of the Jordan River. The name Jordi is the Catalan version of the English name George, meaning “farmer” or “earthworker.” Unlike the name Jordan, the J sound is not heard in this instance, as in Catalan the J sounds more like a harsh G.
