Madalynne

Madalynne is a girl’s name of Greek origin. With its meaning “from Magdala,” it refers to someone from an ancient port city in coastal Galilee. In Hebrew, however, Magdala is synonymous with “fort,” or “elevated place,” since the kings found it useful to fight off invasions and raids from this site. While different spellings are abound, including Madelynn, Madeline, and even Maralynn, this particular variant has an understated elegance to it.
