Pamella

Literature lovers may recognize Pamella as a respelling of Pamela, a name created by English poet Sir Philip Sidney in the 16th century. The name was inspired by the Greek pán meli, meaning “all honey” or “all sweetness.” Writer Samuel Richardson chose the name for his titular character Pamela in his 18th-century novel, later adapted for the stage by Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni_._ For the baby whose sweet charm and honey-glow eyes wouldn’t melt butter, musical Pamella comes replete with literary undertones and delightful endearments.
