The character known as Siuan in The Wheel of Time was an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, having risen through the ranks after being born a poor fisher. She's tough as nails and incredibly clever, coming in as a great role model—in theory—for baby. However, if you pronounce the name like "swan," it could potentially serve as an homage to these smart, graceful birds.
