What do American history buffs, adventurers, and literary enthusiasts have in common, you might ask? Well, one thing they surely agree on is the unique wonder of the name Ulysses. Ulysses is a boy’s name that means "wrathful" or "full of anger." It is the Latin version of Odysseus, a Greek name and titular character of Homer's Greek epic poem Odyssey. This boy's name was popularized by the Irish author James Joyce, whose genre-defining novel Ulysses is considered one of the greatest books ever written. Ulysses also came to attention when Ulysses Grant became the 18th president of the United States.
